Burning Bowl Service
Sunday, January 1, 2023
11am CT, Rev. Anne Tabor
Hybrid Service (online and in-person)
Are you ready to release 2022… and move into 2023 with a fresh start? Then you’ll love this life-changing, sacred Unity tradition!
The Burning Bowl ritual is a profound way to liberate yourself from anything—big or small—that no longer serves your highest good. This spiritual practice is an opportunity for you to allow real transformation by writing down limiting beliefs that are holding you back and then releasing them. Letting go of these old thought patterns clears the pathway to replace them with new and exciting ways to grow into your Divine Potential.
Join Rev. Anne as she guides us through this powerful and liberating service on the first day of the new year. There’s a reason this is one of Unity’s most cherished traditions. You don’t want to miss it!

White Stone Ceremony
Sunday, January 8, 2023
11am CT, Rev. Anne Tabor
Hybrid Service (online and in-person)
Join Rev. Anne as she leads us in our annual Unity ritual of the White Stone Ceremony. This is your opportunity to listen to the still small voice of Spirit within to discern your unique guidance for the New Year and beyond. This is a time to discover a new spiritual name for yourself and the qualities you wish to develop. It is a deeply moving and empowering service to help move you forward into a spiritually energized and joyful 2023!
“Let anyone who has an ear listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches. To everyone who conquers I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give a white stone, and on the white stone is written a new name that no one knows except the one who receives it.” (Revelation 2:17)

Dwain Carl May
April 4, 1940 - December 22, 2022
Dwain was a friendly, happy man who enjoyed making people smile. He never met a stranger that he couldn’t chat with and make them feel like they were friends. This came in handy for his career as a traveling salesman. He became friends with all his clients and gave them excellent customer service, helping them choose the right clothing for their stores, showing up to help with inventory, and always providing them with jokes and laughs. Dwain rarely used a map as he traveled all over Louisiana and Texas, but he always knew the best way to get anywhere, and he knew where every donut shop in both states were located. Dwain had a showroom in the Dallas Apparel Mart for many years and had a loyal following that sought him out no matter what line of clothing he represented.
After he retired from traveling and sales, he worked for HEB Harris Methodist Hospital. He started working in record keeping and soon became invaluable to them. When the hospital changed over to all computerized records and was changing programs, Dwain was responsible for training and teaching everyone on the new system.
While work and career were important to Dwain what he loved most was his family. He was very excited to be planning a big 50th wedding anniversary in 2023 with his great love, Nancy Ann May. He adored her and thought she was beautiful, funny, smart, and his favorite person ever. He liked everything about her--even her nagging--but especially her humor. They shared a great passion for animals and created a loving home for countless cats and dogs. There were show dogs that cost way too much money and cats that just showed up and never left but all were spoiled and well loved.
Dwain loved his children, Lisa Ann Morris, Steven D. Morris, and Dwain Carl May, Jr. (Deacon) and Cathy May. If you ever gave him a chance, he would be bragging on one of them and saying how proud he was of them.
Dwain was very active with his church, Unity of Arlington. He served on the Board of Trustees for six years, serving as board president and treasurer. He was also a valuable member of the finance team. Dwain was an active member of the men’s SpiritGroup, as well. He loved learning, laughing and sharing with this great group of men.
Dwain was always making connections with people and creating friendships; some that lasted a few moments and many that lasted a lifetime.
We are grateful for those connections. We are blessed by the time that we had with this charming man. He will be missed.
Forever in our hearts and memories.
Fly high sweet spirit and rest in peace.

(December 15, 2022 5:00 AM ET, npr.org)
Americans can order four more free COVID-19 tests through the mail. It's part of the Biden administration's plan to deal with an increase in COVID cases sparked by indoor holiday gatherings.
The tests can be ordered on
COVIDtests.gov and started to ship this week, so don't delay ordering yours! The government is urging people to test themselves when they have symptoms, and before visiting with family.

UNITY'S FIVE BASIC PRINCIPLES
Principle #1:
There is only one Presence and one Power in the Universe and in my life, God the Good.
Principle #2:
Human beings have a spark of divinity within them, the Christ spirit within.
Their essence is of God, and therefore they are also inherently good.
Principle #3:
Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their thinking.
Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought.
Principle #4:
Prayer is creative thinking that heightens the connection with God Mind and therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity, and everything good.
Principle #5:
Knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough.
A person must live the truth he or she knows.
|
CORE VALUES
Spirit-Led:
Centered in the awareness of God's presence, we turn within for divine guidance in all
we do.
Love:
Love is our True Nature. We express the harmonizing power of love to see good everywhere and in everybody. Love binds together the whole human family.
Diversity:
We believe that all people are created with sacred worth. In a spirit of Unity, we embrace each person as an expression of God grounded in truth and love.
Connection:
We live, love, and laugh from our Oneness with God. We honor our inter-connectedness with each other, with all life, and the earth.
Abundance:
God is our Infinite Source of Good. We gratefully demonstrate prosperity in all areas of our lives. We wisely use our wealth of resources to serve our spiritual community and the world.
Service:
We cultivate enlightened leadership by practicing the teachings of Jesus the Christ through sacred service. It is a blessing to serve locally and globally.
Integrity:
We consciously choose to practice living our Core Values and Unity Principles rather than simply professing them. We choose to communicate from the heart with authenticity and deliver on our commitments with reliability.
