Membership Classes
Thursdays, May 2nd & May 9th
7pm – 9pm on Zoom
Rev. Anne Tabor
Unity of Arlington is a loving, thriving spiritual community that honors all paths to enlightenment. And we’d love to have you join us as an official member! Membership is not required for attending services or serving at Unity of Arlington. However, we encourage it as a way for an individual to commit to his or her own spiritual growth, and make meaningful connections with other like-minded people in faith.
Active members attend services regularly, participate in events, invest their time and talents in our church, attend classes, and contribute their financial gifts to Unity of Arlington. Members also participate in voting on important church matters.
Classes required for membership are offered in two parts and will cover: Unity Basics, Unity Prayer, and Membership Basics. There will also be a time for questions and discussion. To become a member, attendance is required at both classes.
Please note: Our Bylaws now state that anyone desiring membership in UofA, regardless of city, state or country of residence may, after three months of regular, in-person or online attendance and completion of UofA new member orientation classes, file an application for membership.
Since these classes are conducted on Zoom, you can participate from anywhere in the world!
We look forward to seeing you there!

Transforming Self-Image Through Releases and Affirmations
by Kaitlin Osman
My judgment about affirmations was rooted in a deep well of negative self-talk that I had to work through before positive affirmations could resonate. I found my path toward self-acceptance and empowerment in the practice of releasing and affirming. Releases and affirmations operate on a simple principle: By acknowledging and releasing negative beliefs, you create space for positive affirmations to flourish.

Unity Books Presents: 100 Years of Daily Word

Celebrating the Daily Word Centennial
by Rev. Teresa Burton
When I discovered Unity in the summer of 2000, Daily Word was the first of its publications I read. The tone and messages were positive and encouraging and jibed with the uplifting church services I had begun to attend. Right away I could feel something shifting within me, as I got a glimpse into a new, more hopeful way of living. I remember it felt almost too good to be true. Daily Word became my companion that summer, and in the years that followed it has been a comfort and an inspiration.

Hagar's Heart Pop-Up Shops
It takes time to feel safe to go to a store without looking over your shoulder or feeling nervous about coming face-to-face with your abuser. It can be difficult to find something suitable for a work interview or even just something to wear if an emergency escape is made. This is why we hold pop-up “shop” where survivors can “shop” for new clothes and talk to others free from worry.
We could not do what we do at Hagar’s Heart without people like you, who care and want to help survivors of domestic abuse. We need volunteers to help the women pick out clothes – providing one-on-one attention. Please contact us to find out more or sign up for our newsletter to provide updates on the services needed.

Reverend Anne Tabor, M.Div., is available by appointment for spiritual counseling sessions at Unity of Arlington in a safe and supportive environment. As an ordained Unity minister, Rev. Anne, offers spiritual counseling to individuals seeking a deeper under-standing of themselves and their divine power within to solve life's challenges. Spiritual counseling can help if there is a need for inspiration, crisis support, or healing in any area of your life. Prayer and meditation are an integral part of Unity's spiritual principles, and an essential practice in realizing the answers we seek. We believe in the transformative power of affirmative prayer. You are a unique expression of God. Spiritual counseling will remind you of that!
Spiritual counseling is offered on a love offering basis. While no specific fee is expected or suggested, we do invite each person to leave a love offering. For more details, please call the church office 817-467-5151.
