Sanctuary & Livestream
What’s stirring in you during this season of gratitude? How do you count your blessings amid commotion and confusion? Where can you incorporate spiritual practices in your everyday life considering the numerous changes taking place around you?
Join Dr. Nancy Little, LUT, on Sunday, November 17, to explore the value of gratitude, humility, and heightened awareness of “the good” flowing in and through your experiences. Nancy will guide you through a look at these topics from a Unity metaphysical perspective, through the lens of varied philosophers, and through Scripture. You will have “takeaways” to support your spiritual well-being in invaluable ways!

YOUR COMMUNITY
Opportunities and Upcoming Events
|
|
As you may know, we recently met with the individual SpiritGroups for input about our ministry, who we want to be, and what qualities we most desire in our next minister.
This Sunday, November 10th, we will meet in the sanctuary to share the results of those discussions and allow for input from others in our community.
Please plan on joining us. We will begin right after church. Light snacks will be provided.
Thanks,
Steven D. Morris
Chair - Search and Find Committee

In a way, Unity of Arlington is back to "square one"
The Board is pleased to announce that we have brought back Square as an option for your giving convenience. In the sanctuary the old iPads have been retired and in their place is the new POS Square register. We have also added a link to Square on our website.
Now, with three apps (Square, Tithe.ly, and PayPal) available, we believe you will be able to determine which is best for you. We do think you should know, however, that of the three, PayPal has the highest fees with no option to cover the fee and no option for you to designate the purpose of your donation. Both Square and Tithe.ly give you the ability to designate. All three do accommodate setting up regular, recurring donations.
You can click on any donate button on the unityofarlington.org website or use the following direct link:

Greeters Needed!
Remember how it felt the first time you walked through the doors of Unity of Arlington? How nice it was to have someone smile, say "Hi," and welcome you into the sanctuary? It’s time to give some of that warm feeling back by volunteering to be a greeter and help make everyone who comes through our doors feel loved and welcome. Talk to Marion Tudor at church, call her at 817-929-3724, or email her at granny0497@gmail.com to sign up.

Hagar’s Heart works to provide self-care support and well-being to survivors of domestic violence.
Our volunteers are empathetic, non-judgmental, and care about the lives of others. Some are survivors of domestic violence; others just want to be part of a strong community. All care about the lives of others.

Trust the Larger Hope
by Allan Hamilton, M.D.
Hope unites communities and drives social change. It is the force of collective action and belief that makes a better world a possibility. Hope encourages empathy and compassion and helps us see potential in others. Hope may not be tangible, but it is always palpable. Hope is the essential ingredient that can spell the difference between giving up and giving in or pressing on and standing up. Hope is the agent that shapes our goals and aspirations while simultaneously shielding them from despair. Hope is the workhorse of the best of civilization.
