“Is Life a Random Walk?”
11am, Rev. Lari Goold, Guest Speaker
Sanctuary & Livestream
Is there such a thing as “predestination”? Are we here on planet earth on assignment? Did you make a contract before you entered the womb? Do we really get to choose a life purpose? Let’s talk about why we are here and how we make a difference in the world.
|
About Rev. Lari:
Rev. Lari Goold is a semi-retired minister from Centers for Spiritual Living who continues her ministry by leading a metaphysical book study group and guest speaking for New Thought communities. She loved her 50-year career as a piano teacher, her time served as Regional Youth Director for Centers for Spiritual Living and her years as a senior minister and licensed Practitioner. She has worked as the office manager for her husband’s business in Ft. Worth for over 40 years. Her four granddaughters make her world go around along with the dance of life with husband, Mike, for 60 years of marriage.

“The Charismatic Spell: Empowering Lives and Hearts”
11am, Michael Brundy, Guest Speaker
Sanctuary & Livestream
People that have the ability to put others under their spell have charisma. Charisma is the ability to charm and inspire others, a divinely conferred power or talent. Charisma is a gift given to all but only positive, happy people accept and use this gift.
When people use their gift of charisma, they can induce spells on others. Not in the sense of sorcery or magic but by the power of their attitude. Their positive attitudes can be contagious. Then they can begin to make a difference in the world and in the lives of others.
Charisma is, in essence, a divine gift that can be a force for good in our world. It has the power to break down barriers, bridge divides, and bring people together. When charismatic people use their gift to inspire positive change, amazing things happen. They become catalysts for transformation, lighting the way for others to follow.
Let’s explore ways to use this charismatic spell.

Listening in with... Joy Harjo
Poetry's Power to Heal
by Katy Koontz
This spring Joy Harjo completed her three-year term as the 23rd poet laureate of the United States—the first Native American named to the position.
Harjo, a member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, is descended from a Native-American leader in the Red Stick War in the early 1800s who fought against Andrew Jackson’s government troops.
|
|
She became involved in Native-American activism as a student at the University of New Mexico in the 1970s, where she discovered poetry (which, she says, chose her instead of the other way around). Now, Harjo is also a successful writer, teacher, and musician.
Here, she talks with Unity Magazine editor Katy Koontz about the healing energy of words—and of poetry in particular.

Reverend Anne Tabor, M.Div., is available by appointment for spiritual counseling sessions at Unity of Arlington in a safe and supportive environment. As an ordained Unity minister, Rev. Anne, offers spiritual counseling to individuals seeking a deeper under-standing of themselves and their divine power within to solve life's challenges. Spiritual counseling can help if there is a need for inspiration, crisis support, or healing in any area of your life. Prayer and meditation are an integral part of Unity's spiritual principles, and an essential practice in realizing the answers we seek. We believe in the transformative power of affirmative prayer. You are a unique expression of God. Spiritual counseling will remind you of that!
Spiritual counseling is offered on a love offering basis. While no specific fee is expected or suggested, we do invite each person to leave a love offering. For more details, please call the church office 817-467-5151.
