My Final Four
Sunday Sermons in September!
Beginning this Sunday, I’m thrilled to start a heartfelt three-part series based on Robert Brumet’s powerful book, Finding Yourself in Transition. Together, we’ll dive into the spiritual beauty of change—how it can strengthen us, stretch us, and, ultimately, uplift us when we embrace it with grace and faith.
These talks will hold special meaning for all of us, as we reflect on the changes ahead—for me, for you, and for our beloved community.
Each week will be flowing with love, laughter, and light as we honor the journey we’ve shared and prepare for the exciting next chapter at Unity of Arlington. I can’t wait to see you there and soak in every special moment together.
Much love,
❤️ Rev. Anne

Part 1: “Life 360: Navigating Change"
11am, Rev. Anne Tabor
Sanctuary & Livestream
Change is inevitable, but it offers a pathway to profound personal and spiritual growth. In Finding Yourself in Transition: Using Life’s Changes for Spiritual Awakening, Robert Brumet beautifully blends psychology, Eastern and Western mysticism, and Biblical insights to guide you through life’s most challenging shifts.
In Part 1 of this uplifting three-part Sunday Message Series, we’ll explore how to turn life’s transitions into opportunities for growth, much like the Life360 app helps us stay connected and guided through every turn.
Discover how to trust the process, embrace the void, and step into new beginnings with grace. Join Rev. Anne as she leads us through this transformative time in Unity of Arlington’s history, supporting you in navigating change with clarity and purpose.

Part 2: “The Sacred Passageway"
11am, Rev. Anne Tabor
Sanctuary & Livestream
Without endings, there can be no beginnings! But how do we navigate change with grace? After all, change is inevitable.
In part two of this series, Rev. Anne guides us through life’s sacred transitions, inspired by Robert Brumet’s book Finding Yourself in Transition: Using Life's Changes for Spiritual Awakening.
We’ll explore that weird in between space where one door closes and the other one... takes its sweet time. But not to fret, even when life feels “under construction,” something wonderful is unfolding. And sometimes, we just need to remind each other of this Truth!

Over the years on September 11, there have been many memorial services in the prayer garden just across the parking lot. The first physical memorial in Texas to the 9/11 tragedy is located there, along with the words from the Upanishads, written nearly 3000 years ago:
Lead me from death to life
from falsehood to truth.
Lead me from despair to hope,
from fear to trust.
Lead me from hate to love,
from war to peace.
Let peace fill our heart,
our world, our universe.
Peace, peace, peace.
As we reflect on 9/11, it’s clear we haven’t made the progress we hoped for to create more safety on our planet. When and how can we come to the realization that it is time to take the path of peace? After all these years, we still have not learned that war is not the answer.
As we remember that tragic morning 23 years ago, we can work for better understanding and reconciliation. Honor those lost on 9/11 by working for peace and raising our voice when we see injustice. We can use these events to create a new world, an evolutionary change to the way we show up in the world, a transformation from ME to US.
We can hold in our consciousness the vision of a world without violence, a world where people choose to work out differences by talking and listening, by having empathy and compassion, rather than by bombs and bullets.
Let us reflect on another 9/11 event over 100 years ago; Sept 11, 1906, Gandhi led the first nonviolent protest and forever changed humanity. We can have such a change now as we remember September 11, 2001. We can choose to reconstitute ourselves as members of a community by doing something extraordinary by freeing ourselves from despair and changing our world with nonviolence. Peace begins with me, and you, and us.
At your service,
~Len Ellis

Finding Purpose in Change: A Meditation from Silent Unity
|
|
|
Reverend Anne Tabor, M.Div., is available by appointment for spiritual counseling sessions at Unity of Arlington in a safe and supportive environment. As an ordained Unity minister, Rev. Anne, offers spiritual counseling to individuals seeking a deeper under-standing of themselves and their divine power within to solve life's challenges. Spiritual counseling can help if there is a need for inspiration, crisis support, or healing in any area of your life. Prayer and meditation are an integral part of Unity's spiritual principles, and an essential practice in realizing the answers we seek. We believe in the transformative power of affirmative prayer. You are a unique expression of God. Spiritual counseling will remind you of that!
Spiritual counseling is offered on a love offering basis. While no specific fee is expected or suggested, we do invite each person to leave a love offering. For more details, please call the church office 817-467-5151.
