Dear Beloved Community,

You may have heard… this Sunday marks my final service at Unity of Arlington, and I’m feeling all the feels—gratitude, excitement, a little teary-eyed, and yes, even some butterflies.

I mean, after nine-plus years of “doing church” together, we’ve come a long way! Over the years, we’ve laughed, we’ve cried, and we’ve grown together in ways I never could have imagined. Now we get to celebrate it all one last time.

Thank you for being such a huge part of my heart!

With Love & Unity,

Rev. Anne

Joe Rogers will be performing fifteen minutes of fabulous prelude music on our livestream broadcast this Sunday at 10:45am, CT!

“Mission Possible"

Sunday Finale

11am, Rev. Anne Tabor

Sanctuary & Livestream

Well, here we are! From my first “Mission Possible sermon back in 2015 to this very moment, we’ve been on quite the spiritual adventure together. We’ve walked through enough plot twists, turns, and Texas-sized surprises to make us wonder if we were in a Twilight Zone episode! And much to our delight—sometimes it felt more like a sitcom!

You are invited to join us for my last joy-filled Sunday Finale! We’ll have some laughs about the good, the quirky, and those “only-God-could-create” moments. Let’s celebrate this journey with a whole lot of heart and humor… and one final hoorah!

Together, let's close this chapter with the same faith and love that brought us here, trusting that every step we've taken has prepared us for the next great adventure ahead.

We will also be celebrating Rev. Anne and David before they head off to Kansas City for their next adventure!

“Now What?"

11am, Steven D. Morris, Guest Speaker

Sanctuary & Livestream

When facing change do you ask yourself, now what, or what now?

As we begin to write the next chapter in the story of Unity of Arlington, let's come together and ask, What Now?

Running With Myrtle

by Gus Arthur

On this early summer day, I invite Myrtle Fillmore, the cofounder of Unity, to lace up her sneakers and be my running buddy. Although she is no longer in body, I believe she is with me in spirit. She famously healed herself from tuberculosis after doctors told her she had six months to live. She went on a journey of spiritual healing through affirmations, prayer, and lifestyle changes. She affirmed several times a day: I am a child of God, and therefore I do not inherit sickness. Today I’ll see if Myrtle and I can outrun Parkinson’s.

Lunch and Learns

Hagar’s Heart supports, educates, and empowers domestic violence survivors through self-care initiatives. One of the ways we do this is through Lunch and Learns. Every second Wednesday of the month, from 12-1pm, we have a special speaker. This is VIRTUAL and a great way to learn about domestic violence and self-care.

FOR THE COMMON GOOD

Election Day is November 5, 2024

Did you know that in 2020, less than 80 percent of Texas’s voting age population registered to vote, and just more than half of eligible voters cast a ballot, according to state data? (source: Texas Secretary of State website: https://bit.ly/4efqvvh)

If you're not registered to vote in the November 2024 general election, the deadline to register is October 7.

Don't know if you're registered? You can check that and find your polling location at votetexas.gov. You have to register to vote by mail or in person - there is no online option.

If you recently moved, changed your name, or need to update any other details, the October 7 deadline is also your last chance to make those changes.

Early voting begins October 21 and ends November 1. If you want to vote by mail, the last day to apply is October 25.
