"To Tell the Truth"

Rev. Rebecca Rickey, Guest Speaker

11am, Sanctuary and Livestream on Facebook

Let’s explore what it means to know, embrace, and express our truth, the whole truth, and nothing but our truth. How do we recognize when we are being an “imposter” rather than speaking the Truth with a “capital T”.

About Rev. Rebecca:

Rev. Rebecca Rickey is an Interfaith Minister, ordained in 2005, by the Interfaith Temple of New York, at the completion of a two-year course of study at The New Seminary in New York City. She has a passion for serving others by creating and providing uplifting, supportive, personal, and comforting ceremonies and ritual for the events of life and has officiated many memorial services, celebrations of life, weddings, and baptism/christenings.

Becky has a BA degree in Theatre from Oklahoma City University and is retired from a 35-year career in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry.

She is a world traveler, spiritual seeker, Truth Student, a Sufi in the Inayatiyya Order, and a life-long student of world religions and their associated mystical traditions, seeking the experience of the Divine in Its infinite names and forms.

Becky has spent the past 20 years in New Thought and has been at Unity of Arlington since 2008, where she has served in many capacities, and is lovingly known as “Goddess of all things Sunday Morning”.

When not at Unity of Arlington, Becky loves to spend time at Theatre Arlington where she works in Stage Management and technical theatre.

Becky and her wife, Dian, live in Arlington with their four cats, Chaco, Li’l Blue, Itty Bitty Kitty, and Munchkin.

"Living in Alignment with Divine Purpose"

Michael Brundy, Guest Speaker

11am, Sanctuary and Livestream on Facebook

There is a deep peace that comes when we are aligned with our divine purpose. It’s as if everything falls into place, and life begins to flow with a grace and ease that’s undeniable. But when we’re out of alignment, it can feel like we're swimming upstream. Let’s discuss how we can live in alignment with divine purpose.

On the Shoulders of Greatness: Black History in Unity

African Americans played a vital role in the development of the spiritual movement at Unity. Celebrating and commemorating those leaders helps propel us toward a more loving, inclusive, and connected consciousness—evolving to reach a greater understanding of our divine oneness.

Honoring Black history and the struggle for racial equality, this collection of articles, stories, and educational resources explores Unity history and the influence of Black leaders, past and current, in its growth. In the spirit of Sankofa—looking to the past to inform the future—Unity recognizes how these individuals played a key role in teaching the principles that proclaim the divinity of all people and how together we can affirm a path of inclusion for all.

We extend special gratitude to the Black ministers and leaders in Unity who told their stories and helped develop these resources.

May Rowland was director of Unity's prayer ministry "Silent Unity" for many years. She said: "Remember, the power of the word is yours. Through your word you change the circumstances of your life. The word of God is quick and powerful.... Through Christ in you, you can live life triumphantly and victoriously." Myrtle Fillmore told her, "You are a peacemaker." Charles Fillmore stated: "Jesus Christ men (and everyone) are to be lights that glow with a perpetual current from the omnipresent energy." Join in as we "Let our Lights Shine" for the Highest Good for all!

Please contact Rev. Gloria with any questions. Reserve your place in the class and get the Zoom link by calling her at: 817-472-5655

Little Free Library

Please support our connection with our community through our Little Free Library by bringing book donations (teen, fiction, non-fiction, spiritual, self help). Children's books are especially needed. Donation area available Sundays.

The Board of Trustees has made the decision to temporarily pause our Youth and Family Ministries Program.

We ask for everyone’s support while we make space for a robust program with a focus on Unity curriculum development and family engagement. In the interim, we welcome and encourage the children to attend church with their families. We are providing art tablets, books, crayons and markers in the sanctuary.

FOR THE COMMON GOOD

Focus on the Loving

By Keri Joy Walker

Waking in the morning

I’m starting a new day

If worries come to visit

I let love send them away

As the day progresses

If it puts me to the test

I focus on the loving

And let go of all the rest

There is a greater truth

That’s not defined by me

I choose to see the loving

For love created me
