Recently he has discovered storytelling guilds and associations. He is the president of the Dallas Storytelling Guild and the president of the Tejas Storytelling Association. They will be hosting the Texas Storytelling Festival in Denton, Texas March 6-9, 2025 (see Michael for more information).
Michael has been an active member of CSLDallas for over twenty years. He has served on numerous boards and councils at CSLDallas. He has been an active member of his fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Incorporated for 50 years.

"The Wisdom to Stay Awake"
Dr. Tracy Brown, RScP, Guest Speaker
11am, Sanctuary and Livestream on Facebook
In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus spoke to Peter, James and John saying: “Stay awake and pray that you may not come into the time of trial.” Are you awake to the possibilities presenting themselves to you? Are you awake to the ways God desires to express in your life? And, even in times of trial and tribulation, are you awake to the ways you are being supported and guided by a power greater than your own? This week, Tracy reminds us to Stay Awake!

YOUR COMMUNITY
Opportunities and Upcoming Events
|
|
March is Senior Nutrition Month, four weeks dedicated to bringing awareness to senior hunger in our community. You can make a tangible difference in the life of someone in need by adopting one or more of Meals on Wheels' 271 daily meal delivery routes. Each route serves 10-12 homebound, elderly or disabled individuals.
Each of the 271 routes is available for adoption every weekday during the month of March, giving you 21 opportunities to adopt a route that is meaningful to you. Each route is $100 per day. You can choose to adopt a route for just one day, perhaps for five days, or the entire month.
- $100 - Adopt a route for one day
- $500 - Adopt a route for one week (M-F)
- $2,100 - Adopt a route for an entire month
If you can't adopt an entire route, please consider making a donation in any amount to help provide lifesaving meals to those in need. No amount is too small. However you choose to give, Meals on Wheels thanks for your generosity!

Support & Resources for the LGBTQIA+ Community
Does the news leave you bombarded with uncertainty and fear? For many, especially those in the LGBTQIA+ community, these times can feel unsettling. But it’s possible to stay centered, no matter how things may appear. When you turn within and connect with your spiritual nature, you can find strength, peace, and reassurance.
To support you on your journey, we’ve gathered a collection of articles, booklets, and other resources designed to bring comfort and encouragement. If fear feels overwhelming, these resources are here to help you reclaim a sense of peace and spiritual grounding. When you’re anchored in spiritual truth, you can move forward with courage, taking whatever actions feel aligned with your heart and values.
