"To Boldly Go: The Prime Directive Re-imagined"
11am, Rev. Rebecca Rickey
Sanctuary and Livestream on Facebook
Are you a person who wonders “what’s out there” in the cosmos? Are you fascinated by the thought of deep space travel? Are you in awe of the beauty in the images from our space telescopes that illuminate for us the divine masterpiece that is the cosmos? Do you wonder “are we alone, and is there other life in the cosmos?” These questions will be answered for humankind in the right and perfect time. There is an immediate mission that we can choose to embark upon that also requires training, practice, bold action, and deep commitment, along with bravery and an open heart and mind. The destination is “inner space”, the vastness of our own consciousness and our connection with God. Join Rev. Becky as we choose To Boldly Go on a spiritual journey.

"Follow Your Instincts: Embody Your Zeal"
11am, Rev. Rebecca Rickey
Sanctuary and Livestream on Facebook
Our animal companions and those four-leggeds in the wild may not understand the concept of zeal but they live directly and fully in each moment. They share happiness, vitality, purring, barking, meowing, and tail-wagging joy! Have you noticed how the critters in our lives are generally happy and excited about life in general. They spend their lives doing precisely what they were created for by following their God-given instincts. We humans, on the other hand, may be less than enthusiastic about life and what we perceive is ours to do. Perhaps we can take a lesson from the critters in our lives in how to live enthusiastically in the moment. Join us as we conclude Pet Blessing Weekend with Rev. Becky's message on how to embrace and embody our zeal.

Sacred Paws Pet Blessing
Saturday, October 11, 2025
Join us for our Pet Blessing Event!
We’ll gather on the lawn from 10am—noon, providing individual blessings for all animals; the dogs and cats of course, and any of your special critters that you’d like to receive a blessing. If your animal is not available to come in person, just bring a photograph and we will happily bless it. Please have your pets appropriately leashed or crated.
We’re thrilled that Arlington Animal Services will be on-site with a pet adoption van and some great dogs that will be available for adoption.
We’ll be having a bunch of fun, music, popcorn, drinks and snacks, and other surprises. We look forward to having an all around great time together. You do not have to register to bring your pets, just come on over.
If you’d like to volunteer to assist with the Pet Blessing, (we need lots of folks), please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Tana Monaco, at tana.monaco@gmail.com.
We look forward to seeing you and your critters at the Sacred Paws Pet Blessing!

And, For Your Consideration
We are in need of donations of pet supplies for our Pet Blessing on October 11. We will then donate any leftover or gently used items to Arlington Animal Services. We are in need of:
Dog Treats, Cat Treats, pet water bowls, paper towels,
disposable gloves, pet refuse bags, and hand sanitizer
Please bring these supplies to the sanctuary foyer on Sunday, September 28, and Sunday, October 5th. We thank you!

Are you called to become a member here at Unity of Arlington? Now’s your opportunity and we’d love to have you. Registration is now open for the Fall Membership Class, to be held via Zoom on consecutive Thursday evenings, October 23 and October 30, from 6:30 to 8:30pm.
Remember: You don’t have to become a member if you take the class, but you have to take the class to become a member. We extend a warm welcome to current members who want to fellowship and get to know one another better. And it’s a great opportunity for everyone to have a refresher about Unity of Arlington, the Unity Movement, and the principles we teach.

Unity of Arlington has launched
Child Care and Youth Circle
Thanks to a dedicated team of volunteers and support from a local school counselor, we’re able to offer a safe, nurturing space where children and teens can engage in age-appropriate activities, connect with peers, and feel part of a warm, accepting community.
We would love to see your children and are excited to welcome more young minds into our loving and inclusive circle.
