Before there were sanctuaries, doctrines, or denominations, human beings gathered in small circles and communities to tell stories, seek wisdom, share food, pray, and experience the Presence together. Sacred connection happens when we come together with open hearts. Spirit becomes visible in our listening, our laughter, our shared wisdom, our caring, and our willingness to walk the spiritual path together. Rev. Becky’s message will explore Spirit as both the Divine Presence within us and the sacred energy that comes alive when we gather in community.

Creating our lives is a little like ordering a meal. Before anything arrives at the table, there is a menu, a choice, and a process that brings that food to the table. The spiritual power of Order is the orderly sequence through which creation unfolds. First a thought or idea arises in consciousness, we experience it, nurture it, and give it our attention. Then, through our choices and actions, that idea can become an expression in our lives, or we can choose something else from the menu. The spiritual power of Order invites us to become more conscious of what we are “ordering” from life. Every stage of life brings a new menu of possibilities. Divine Order reminds us that we can pause, reconsider the ingredients, and consciously choose what we want to bring into expression. Join us as we explore the spiritual power of Order and how it can help us create a more intentional, meaningful, and abundant life.

SpiritGroups are Unity of Arlington's small group ministry. Being a member of a SpiritGroup can help you grow in your faith, spiritual practice, and gain new, practical insights into your life. SpiritGroups also provide an opportunity for you to be of service to the community with group members who support and care for one another.

Please join us in the sanctuary at 7pm on Wed., Sept. 9, to share the livestream opening of the Unity World Day of Prayer activities, including music, meditation and messages from Unity leaders. This is a lovely way to prepare for the silent vigil time on Thursday, Sept.10. Be sure and sign up at the back of the church for some time to participate individually for Silent Vigil in our sanctuary from noon to 8pm. The theme for this year is Love is Alive!
